Today, is a simple day for me. Just going to school and thinking alot about things

i took a test today after a long weekend of studying with two girls and it was quite easy. The girls really know how to study and for about two consecuitve days the girls and i spent about 5 hours to study. On sunday, we had pizza and it was great, they talked alot about their lives and such which is probably why the study session lasted so long. Sheena and gabby, are the names of the girls. Sheena had just came here from grededa which is a country that i havent the slightest clue where it is. Gabby is a typical hispanic girl but without the flashiness and flair other ones do(thank goodness). Sheena is a very spiritual girl who has seen many times the death of those around her especially one man whom she loved. 5 years has passed since then and she still longs for him. She moved here because of the high tuition prices they have there and she lives here with her "so-called" boyfriend. Gabby is a very shelterd girl who loves children, she is going to school for childhood education. The three of us are very intellegent however sheena doesnt quite have the self esteem to admit it.

i started meditation and i found out that ive been doing it for years. I can sit and relax usually before bed but sometimes im in a position that is between sleep and wakefulness for long peroids of time. Just today, i whent o sleep around 2pm but was in a meditiative state till around 3. I felt like i was thinking but didnt know what i was thinking about. I felt clear and level-headed afterwards and then i headed to actuall sleep. I started tai chi as well and ive been very good at it from the begining. I have also taken several martial arts before tai chi and i guess thats where the profecency comes from. I guess that never goes away.

Yay for this group��I did nothing especially healthy today. �I�dug up the clay in the front yard enough to plant three measly daffodil bulbs before I was worried my wrist would break off.� So that was energetic.

Food-wise, ate yogurt for breakfast (yay), McDonaldapos;s for lunch (not so yay), and beans and franks for dinner.� Not tons of wheat, though.� Margaret has been begging for spaghetti all week, so Iapos;ll have to make it soon, but maybe I�could make rice noodles for me?� Just thinking. �

Second and Third Grade Detectives,

We had a great day using our decoding skills to uncover a secret message in our chocolate caper. Next week, we will discover who stole the secret recipe from Mr. Van Feisty.

A majority of our time this week was used for writing our rough drafts. Did you use your time wisely in class? Please bring your final draft (typed) next week to class. Follow the outline and checklist that you received in class to help you organize your writing. Be sure you include a title and your name on your paper.

Homework: Bring your final copy of your world mystery to class. We will discuss in class how we will present and share our world mystery information.

Weekly Question: Write down something fascinating that you learned about your world mystery.

*** We will have a special guest speaker this coming Monday, October 20th. Third graders will join us Monday morning at 8:30 in the trailer. Third grade, you will have a normal Target day on Tuesday.

Okay, okay. So, this concert was different from the others. It was at Kean University, New Jersey. I arrived around 3:15, and I found Mandi, Nora, Maureen, and Katelyn, but apparently there was assigned seating, (they told me) so there was no use waiting in line. I picked up my ticket from the box office, and we hung out for a while, walked around the campus, stalked Lifehouse by the back entrance of the theater. Eventually we saw them come out of their van. We just sat on the bench and they waved at us as they went into the building. Then we all went out to dinner at Applebeeapos;s. It was a much more relaxing experience than most. I wasnapos;t all that excited about the show, but I was glad to be there. So we got our seats, and mine was in the 14th row - not what Iapos;m used to at all, but this was my first seated concert. Fortunately, though, once the opening art started we could move up to occupy all the empty seats in the pit. So I ended up in the second row with a great view. I really enjoyed the concert - they played the same songs, but I still love them, and they did a really good job.

So after the concert we waited outside the back entrance to see if Lifehouse would come out, and they DID I canapos;t believe it. I thought they might just wave to the crowd and get into their van, but they came over with sharpies to meet us There were a bunch of people lined up. Jason came over to the guys next to me and he was all excited to see them. Meanwhile I got Rick to sign my shirt. Then I said hi to Jason, and he said, "Hi, I know you. Youapos;re Sylvia, right?" And then I got him to sign my shirt, too. So then I went over to talk to Bryce, and I got him to sign my shirt, and he said "Hey, are you the one that draws all the cartoons?" I said, "Yeah, do you watch them?" The things I say when Iapos;m starstruck. I wouldnapos;t have said "watch" if I were thinking clearly. Anyway, he said he thought they were funny, and he wants to put a link to the website on the official Lifehouse website This is big news. He said to send him a link on MySpace, so Iapos;m about to do that now. Then I got Mandi to take a picture of me and Bryce, and sheapos;ll have to send it to me, because itapos;s on her camera. I didnapos;t get a picture with Jason, but he was being swarmed, and I didnapos;t want to bother him too much. Maybe someday.

So anyway, Iapos;m really really happy about this. Not only that I got to meet Lifehouse officially, but that I didnapos;t have to be conniving and creepy to do it; they came out to meet their fans of their own accord. Thatapos;s why I love them. I always said they would if they really wanted to. My life is complete.
